Our trip to Turkey!:)

Our trip started at 6:30 from railway station to Helsinki. We stopped at Tikkurila to change a train and then continued to Helsinki Vantaa airport. After we check-in our flight off at 13:30 to Istanbul Sabiha Göcken we went to eat in Burger King. Our flight 20:00 landed to Istanbul airport where our Taxi took us to the hotel. We arrived about at 22:00 to our hotel and then before sleep went to eat something in a restourant which was near out hotel.

 Our day started with breakfest in our hotel, after that we went to visit Haga Sofia with Spanish and Rominian team. After visiting the Haga Sofia we went to a boat toar and played there cards with Romaninan team. About 16:30 we headed to our mini bus and started our trip to Kutahya. after 4 and half hour trip we arrived there and met our host families. We were so exhausted from the trip but also happy and excited to see our hosts. End of the night we spend with our host families.

Today we got to know each othet and played some ice breaking games with other students. It was so fun. In the evening we wnt cafee and played card games with our Turkish hosts. We learned some new card games also.

We went to school at 9am with our hosts ans started working in international groupes with some worksop. We had so much fun with each other. We visited some cool places to, like.

Our school day started at 9 am.  We had a German lesson. The teacher was funny, but she had strict rules in the class. We got the first homework, but we didn't do it. Then we had a workshop defining air pollution problems. After that we planted a tree. Then we went to eat at the school’s cafeteria. After that, we took a bus to visit a historical house. A kind old papa explained to us about the ancient architecture. After that we got to do traditional paintings and drank tea again. We listened to music from different countries and danced traditional Romanian and Turkish dances. Then we went home to eat. In the evening, Matias, Akseli and their hosts played cards and hung out at Akseli's host. Sajra and Wilma were with their hosts at home.

We arrived at school around 9.00. We worked in the same groups as the day before and tried to find solutions to air pollution problems. We talked together about what democracy brings to our mind. We went to eat again at the school’s cafeteria. Then we visited a museum and walked around the city. After that, we got to bake traditional pastries at the girls' school. We drank tea and ate pastries. Then we went to a cafe and played okey game together. Then it was time to go to dinner together. Some ate meatballs and some chicken. Then we received certificates of participation from the school principal. After that we sang many songs together. We spent the rest of the evening in a small cafe with a large group. We didn't leave until midnight. 

17.2 

In the morning in school we played some Turkish games and in the afternoon we went shopping and bowling with all international teams. Later in the day after shopping we headed to a cafe to play card games and some Turkish Okay game. It was so interesting and fun. After the Cafe some people went to sleep and others spend the whole night hanging out with hosts.

We set off towards at the airport at the early morning around 4.PM. We flew back to Finland, Helsinki and from there traveled to Pieksämäki by train. We arrived at Pieksämäki during nightfall.

Our trip to Spain

  We left at 7.30 from our school to Helsinki. We stopped at Lahti to eat and then continued to Helsinki airport. After the check-in our flight took off at 14.20 to Amsterdam where our connecting flight left at 17.50 to Spain, Sevilla. Both flights were a little late, so we arrived at 21.00.     We were so excited to see our host families and we almost ran through the airport to see them . They were waiting us with signs . After meeting them we went to eat together . We were a bit nervous , but all the families were so nice and welcoming . Some of us slept well , but some got only few hours of sleep .     3.9 .   It’s our first day at school. School starts at 8.00. Today we met the students from Turkey and Romania. We did some presentations of our countries and chose a logo for the project. Then we went to eat. We had baguette and juice. It was really good , but the baguette was really big and even for our teach...

Our trip to spain!

  Blog: Spain 24.4.-28.4.2023 Sunday-Monday    In the Sunday morning we got to the train station at around nine and the train left at 9.20. We traveled for about three hours to Helsinki airport. Our flight departed at 15.15 and the trip went nicely. We arrived at Malaga in the evening and then we got a minibus to Aguadulce. Then we arrived at Aguadulce and our host families were waiting there for us with a Finnish flag. Then we went to the houses of our hosts and made ourselves at home. The families were very friendly and welcoming. At Monday morning we woke up early, ate breakfast and left to Almeria. There we went to the English Pier and we were sightseeing and then got interviewed randomly by the Spanish news. Then we were just walking around in Almeria and seeing cool places.
